When I was little I remember asking one of the older monks when I would get a big bushy beard like his. Cue the poor guy having to patiently explain to the oblivious elf child that unfortunately, you will not be growing a beard at any point in your life.

Oh, yeah, you have no idea how often I freak people out at night. S'part of why I wear my shades, it's a little harder to notice that my eyes glow and reflect light when I have them covered up.

​You know, that's a really good strategy. It's not like they'd impede your own vision much anyway, right?

Most people here don't seem to react too strongly, though. It's how I've apparently been able to get away with not knowing my own eyes glow for all this time. I only know because the bard asked about it and I was like "what are you talking about."

Thank you! I'd say I've never worn sunset colors, but thinking back I probably have worn some robes in those colors before. Might be nice to try some out once I get back to the city.

@burning-brightly - Got introduced to me as Sayran, on a mysterious journey to do something underground that involve honest-to-god drow. When I asked what sort of magic you used, she just gave me a confused look. I thought it would've just been what it said on the tin. Also told me that you lived in a monastery at one point - I'd imagine that'd be stifling with all the rules and crap.

Hello, Aeria! I've seen your friend mention you a few times here and there. It's a pleasure to meet you!

And you're right, it's just what it says on the tin: I use necromancy. And spend a lot of time talking to ghosts, or sometimes just corpses. My current companions are still getting used to me doing the former.

It wasn't so bad, actually! I've never been much for following rules, honestly, but I put up with it. Most of the rules I absolutely had to follow had to do with not destroying the books, and I can live with those. I still get antsy when I see anyone other than my fellow wizard handling the books I've managed to collect on this little trip of ours, haha.

How's your day been going, Aeria? Up to anything interesting?
