reflecting upon octavia butler's "bloodchild" again n when i first had to discuss it in class my ass was sitting there listening to their shock, horror, disgust, etc like

but i was thinking abt it more like. i just think me being like "weird thing to read for a college course but i'm down for what she's putting down" is also bc i have spent over five minutes interacting with the locked tomb fandom and no shade to them but after seeing some shit there it was like. light work no reaction.
