Horses: will die from being spooked too hard, will die from breaking a leg, will die from running too long, will die from being too wet too long, will die from stepping on a pebble the wrong way

#apparently horses hooves can get too solid to trim normally #and apparently the standard procedure for this is to use a blowtorch to make them softer????? #and the horse is just chill with this #then again you put horseshoes on by pressing the hot horseshoe against the hoof and then nailing it in #so theyre probably used to weird things happening to their feet
