A wave of music filled the room; nothing the reverend would have on his playlist. Typical club atmosphere for a club that wasn't so typical. Scanning the area, he noted the usual types: shady ex-cons, anxious young men, and dancers with easily read expressions.

Jesse moved through the crowd, figuring he'd stand out. He was the only one dressed in a preacher's uniform. On that night, Custer wasn't in the mood for saving anyone. Sinner's unite.

"I'll have a whiskey neat," he ordered, settling at the bar. "Hell, leave the bottle." Whether the bartender would or not didn't matter much. There was an all night liquor store just around the block.

Turning his back to the bar, Jesse's attention wandered to the stage. There was a show coming that he couldn't miss.
