playing a game where romance routes are optional is so strangely stressful. just like real life, a character can say "wow, [player] gets me" and then the first dialogue option is to begin romancing them so i simply look away and pretend i didnt see that, for their sake

#videogame where romance interactions feel unfortunately realistic in that im not entering them. #but also bc they arent narratively forced upon the player. and idk what to do about that other than dodge every bullet. every single one. #me being like 'wow i really really like this character! i love this sweet freak!' #*dodges romantically interacting with them at every chance* #honestly. if one of the romanceable characters were a butch THEN i might. if only she were romanceable. if only if only #dummy posts #also good god. the game being all 'keeping your options open huh ;)?
