if the monologue was mlevens’ idea of “good communication” they need to actually reflect on how they view relationships and what they consider enough resolution to a conflict...because wdym a situation where only one side of the relationship is actually talking while the other is physically restrained and unable to respond to them and the one talking isn’t even sure if the other can hear them is a demonstration of the two properly communicating with each other 😭

#sure mike finally allowed himself to open up to her #(after being pushed to talk by someone else but mlvns pretend that didnt happen so i’ll let them have that ignorant bliss) #but what does el actually think about his grand declaration of love? #do we even know if she has fully forgiven him for everything he said to her in their fight? #he never even got to apologize for how she treated her. like their problems go beyond just the “saying ily” conflict #he still made her feel like a monster with how cold he was to her #atleast in s3 we actually see them mutually communicating about the conflict #and mike got to apologize to her and we know that el eventually forgave him (he still explained himself poorly but thats for another topic) #and its important to note that it was an actual conversation with both being able to talk unlike the monologue #but what about their s4 conflict? do we know if el still feels like mike sees her as a monster? #do we know if she still has any bad feelings about the way he treated her? she never got to clarify her stance #because they also never got to sit down and clear the air about it... #byler
