bellamy hollis, gangrel - hosts the local radio show Calling All Creeps. the creepshow is an organized effort among the anarchs, used to drum up fake rumors of supernatural events in the city to muddle the SI's legitimate leads

francesca "chess" giovanni, hecata- after making it to ghouldom but being deemed unworthy of embrace by the family, she secured the embrace for herself through other channels (secret lamia) and was disowned for it. makes her living predicting people's deaths for them

ayoni olowe, tremere* - actually a salubri but doesn't know it. believes she's the childe of the tremere lord who kidnapped and brainwashed her. stuck in a blood contract of loyalty to her "sire" and the tremere. no third eye yet

kismet, toreador - keeper of elysium. deaf and non-verbal, communicates through american sign language, iranian sign language, or telepathy. noddist scholar and archivist. achieved golconda

florian foster, thin-blood (malkavian) - saddest wettest little guy. accidental embrace that got his sire killed. grandchilde to the anarch baron and forced to accept a joke of a primogen position. punching bag of the camarilla. being blackmailed by another councilor using his ghouled ex as leverage

there are so many people ayoni loves! she's one of those My Heart Is A Bottomless Basin Overflowing With Love types. her mortal family who thinks her dead, friend/mentor/sire virgil (who has been scrubbed from her memory), leech and jellybean, just about every person she interacts with through the chantry, and qamara, the pontifex who she and everyone else believes to be her sire. there are three people associated with the chantry who don't turn their backs on her when her salubri lineage comes to light: a gargoyle named farin (they/them), a mortician named gauge (he/they), and a classmate she trained alongside named otto (she/her). ayoni loves those three more than anything.

her relationship with qamara is complicated to say the least. she hates how qamara treats gargoyles and the babyrats, and on some level she knows the trials qamara puts her through are fucked up, but between the old blood bond and the blood contract and truly, genuinely believing qamara's intentions are good and that she's only so hard on ayoni because she believes in her, it is Extremely difficult for ayoni to feel any anger towards qamara. and if she challenges her, she dies (blood contract), so. complicated!

salubri ayoni update: her name is ayoni olowe and she doesn't yet have her third eye.

qamara (tremere pontifex and primogen) decides to keep ayoni and pass her off as her own childe for a few reasons:

as a minutes-old fledgling with no training she's able to draw on Corpore Sano (3rd level of Obeah) to save her sire

she doesn't actually know any Obeah, so she doesn't have a third eye (it briefly appears while she's using Corpore Sano but immediately disappears when she's finished. it does not appear again)

qamara wipes all memory of ayoni's true sire, virgil, so she has no idea that she's really a salubri. the only 2 people who know are qamara and virgil

qamara's thinking is that once ayoni is blood bound to her, and capable of such impressive healing, qamara's own longevity increases tenfold

qamara clears it with the malkavian prince as an "i found her dying and was so moved to mercy i couldn't help myself, please forgive this transgression" situation, and the prince takes to ayoni very quickly so qamara gets little more than a slap on the wrist.

she "raises" ayoni as a tremere and relentlessly tries to get her to replicate the Obeah trick, but ayoni can't do it. she doesn't remember virgil, doesn't remember that she saved him or how, and qamara doesn't know how to do it so she can't coach ayoni with any specificity. all ayoni knows is that qamara insists this is something she can do, but no amount of practice works. eventually qamara decides maybe it was the stakes, the sense of urgency, that ayoni needed. she starts presenting ayoni with victims in critical condition with only minutes to spare, and ayoni *wants* to save them. she wants to be able to fix it more than anything, but she can't. qamara keeps a tally of all the people ayoni has been unable to save to remind her of her failures; ayoni burns marks into her skin for each of them as well, and immortalizes them with Seal the Brand.
