#I'm gonna need to play the games again and record footage for clips #gameplay and cutscenes #seriously I've got 2 video essays I've been thinking about writing about the Jak trilogy #the other one being why I believe Haven is the remains of a much larger city after climate disaster #because sea walls the underport and the fact that a king got usurped by a Baron #what land was Praxis the BARON of? #because there ain't much out there #unless Haven was the top layer of a sprawling agricultural powerhouse in a fertile valley before ocean rise flooded them out #and a mix of hunger and terror allowing Damas to be banished while the council lined up behind a strong man #who said I ALONE CAN FIX IT #and then didn't do that #tried #failed #multiple times #because totalism doesn't work #which is why the city is in rebellion #weeeeeee
