Well, this is it.

The Blacklist has officially ended.

There's been enough words already about the finale. I'll be honest and say that I'm not surprised at the frustration caused by it. I didn't really follow season 9, and didn't watch season 10. Does that make me a less of a fan? I don't know.

It's weird to think how long Donald (and Red) has been with me. I got here in 2015, and it's 2023 now. Whew. So much things happened since. It's crazy, really.

I'd like to think of my time in TBL fandom as mostly good with occasional heated and well, not really civilized discussions.... But at least this fandom has brought me some of the most awesome people I can't believe I got to know in my life. You guys know who you are. I couldn't do all this without you. Thank you <3

The highlight of my TBL time, apart from giffing and even vidding is writing some of the best works which I could've never thought I had the balls audacity and skill to do. Donald (and Red) wouldn't have breathed without my precious co-author Gwyllt. Thank you, and I love you <3.

I'm not sure if I'll be back to finish the unfinished things. Maybe, someday.

If there's anything that TBL has taught me is this.

You loving those characters breathes the life into them, and they keep on living, even after the canon has ended.

I’ll probably pass on s10. At least for now.

Maybe when more eps are available, I’ll take a shot. But from what I hear/see, it’s not something I’d like to continue watching. Even for Diego. *sigh*

I hope this blog will make someone happy as Ressler once had made me. If you come across it, know that your likes/reblogs/comments, warm my heart <3 Maybe, when time is right and the mood too, I’ll post once in a while. I do have a few things I’d love to finish before s10 ends, so y’all didn’t see the last of me, hehe. ‘till better times, folks.

Figured I'll put my usual reminder that I'm crawling back into my bunker until late spring. Good thing is, this has nothing to do with the ratio between likes and reblogs on this blog but my own clusterfuck of a brain which isn't running on the same fiery fuel anymore.

I know most won't care, but I'll share it anyway. Things set in stone, or rather, in writing, are forever.

I've completed something I'm very proud of—a rough draft of the character's sheet for Donald which fills most of the blanks the canon has left us with. That means, I'll finally be able to track the damn timeline of his college/university years, his Quantico years, SWAT, Red hunt... Fucking yay!

I'd found a way to disregard some of the things canon gave me and use the things I liked without hurting Don's integrity. I've struggled with it for a long, long time, resulting in excessive fanservice which diminished his character.

Hopefully, after some tweaking and fine-tuning, this sheet will lead to something more. Even if it won't, I'm ecstatic about it anyway—feels good, after all these years, to actually put things into something physical.

As a side effect, I've realized that—what did you expect, it's the way my brain is wired when it comes to Don—what if Ress and Audrey's way to bed and eventual life together wasn't covered with rose petals? I feel like I could explore tons of stuff here, esp about sex, control, sublimation, and how Audrey had become someone who had such an impact on him that he had tried to change his attitude with her.

We know that Ressler has a respect for women and all, but I was just like, what if during sex he wasn't exuding that attitude?

I'll leave it to your imagination to figure out the rest :D

Red's character sheet is in the works. There's a massive amount of research I gotta do—because I'm a pretentious mtf who can't half-ass my way through anything in life, it needs to be perfect—and I honestly have no idea where it leads me. I know for certain that I'm not gonna bs my way around who Red is or isn't, and it's gonna be a pretty much straightforward backstory.

I do, however, have a thing in mind about Detroit and its history, and what role it could've played both in Ressler and Red's life, and I'd love to do something with it.

Also, to that dear Nonnie who was asking me about edits on my other blog. I forgot to add that except the VSCO the trick is to have a promo still, a full resolution image, not a 1080p screenshot (you gotta do it in photoshop to keep it more or less hq after coloring).

VSCO is actually fun, so instead of waiting on my sorry ass to come up with something, you can have fun with the stills yourself. Google NBC's site and The Blacklist section, and there will be some cool stills.

Hey folks,

It's @falle-ness behind the wheel again.

For the time being, I'm ceasing my posts here (though I hope to post maybe some short ficlet on ao3, if I get to strike a deal with my muse).

I don't know if I'm gonna be back here as a giffer or vidder or whatever (though maybe you can catch me on ao3 where I could, theoretically, post something).

Don has been with me through my darkest times, but right now I feel like I need something else to pull through. I still love my poor fucked up golden boy, but I need an upgrade from my cozy swamp to something funky. Something that could distract me from what's happening with my country, and the uncertainty of tomorrow.
