Hey why did the reapers want the control ending the illusive man was indoctrinated and that's what he wanted so that means that that's what the reapers wanted too right

#im like reassessing red blue green discourse in 2021 #cuz the best ending seems like it would be control and then make the reapers kill eachother #but is it just the reapers or is it all ai? #just the reapers doesnt really make sense with the control endings theres no way to do it without killing all ai not just the reapers thing #i mean obvs it wad a rushed ending and these answers dont really exist but still #seems weird #youd think theyd have him pushing for synthesis like saren did #but i think its bc they wanted to prop synthesis up as the best solution even tho it doesnt really work thematically with the game #none of them really work thematically like the reapers have been saying that ai and organics cannot coexist but reforming the geth and #getting to know edi disproves that since ai arr real people too is a huge theme #so saying yes little ghost boy u and the reapers are right the only way to coexist is to be the same is kinda fucked #also like having indoctrination be a huge thing and synthesis is like its different nwnw is kinda wack #best destroying all ai sucks too bc as we havr been hammering uome for 2 games ai have souls too #and its just the reapers that have come to this wring conclusion #so control is whats left and thats just the reapers BUT they make tim be the one pushing for it to make it seem like a bad idea #esp bc the control ending doesnt really fit....anything thematically #its kinda just an extra option #so its not really a good ending to the series but it does seem like the best option ? #but also we can control the reapers so i told them to fix everything and then kill eachother isnt really much of anything is it #i guess theyre all just bad options right #thats why everybody has hated it since it came out in 2012 #i dont even dislike the no good endings thing thats fine but at least make them thematically appropriate right?
