Of course the one time Hawkwing is criticized and held accountable is for a stupid reason (criticizing the guy who sent them on a death mission who he has every reason to believe sent them there intentionally)

#and its just to make him look smarter than everyone too. cool #tbh this is one of my biggest pet peeves in stories when they have no reason to not believe the protagonist #like in arc 1 i can believe that no one believed fireheart bc hes one guy and the cats dont regard him as a trusted source #combined with tigerclaw having lived there his whole life and being so respected that hes deputy #bluestar has legitimate reasons to not believe fireheart abt him both emotionally and logically #even if shes wrong in the end. but leafstar has known this guy for like a week #and her only evidence is ‘’idk he helped in a battle offscreen hes chill’’ #and shes immediately like ‘’yeah let him do another patrol we love this guy even tho theres a ton of evidence that hes evil’’ #same with her kids who are like fuck yeah lets go too #like! she has a reason to act out here and yet no. bc we gotta make hawkwing be the smartest and most powerful character #hwj liveread
