Maya Tabingdagat is friends w one of my inquisitors, Gabe Trevelyan. That's how she ended up being part of the Inquisition

When they got to Haven, she thought Cullen was handsome, and during the fall of Haven he rescues her from a Red Templar attack

she develops a crush on him, like the type that's "Oh my hero you saved my life"

when they get to skyhold, cullen would accompany Gabe in missions. Maya and cullen end up becoming friends, really close ones

then she ends up GENUINELY and PROPERLY falling in love w him and she's like......well shit
