I needed this trip, I needed to experience a slice of my life pre-pandemic, but I'm very ready to be home in my own bed with my partner and my cats.

Still, exploring Maryland and DC has been amazing. The food is phenomenal. I bought too many earrings and some very cute art (and some enamel pins, I can never have to many enamel pins). Took entirely too many tequila shots on a roof until sunrise. Truly an incredible time.

But now I'm sleepy and missing home. I love the anticipation of returning to comfort. Something about it has this quietly giddy electric buzz. Anyway, I'll be home tomorrow and back to my usual nonsense 💗
