You can lowkey tell how many years someone has been on Tumblr based on what they tag as a "Long Post"

Ppl new to Tumblr will tag anything longer than a tweet. But those of us who lived through the neverending rainbow scroll post? Whosoever made the mistake of trying to make headway on their dash on a Tuesday?

Like I don't think I even tag YoureFinallyAwake or ColoursOfTheSky posts as "Long". If it takes fewer than 10 swipes on mobile? That is nothing to me.

#not saying I Miss those truly excessive posts being frequent spectres out here in the deep blue #but realtalk: I Did like the sense that unlike everywhere else? girls didn't hesitate to take up space here #queers & bipoc & fat ppl & mad ppl & disabled ppl & other marginalized folks too but it was an esp stark contrast with girls #& yeah it was mostly for goofy fan stuff but still? I mean that's almost wilder bc if you're gonna take up space- #-it better not be in nerdland or anything Superficial ~~ #and between the reduced reblog rate and the lack of truly Long posts and the lack of Dash Floodings I just don't get that sense anymore #it feels like ppl are policing themselves into not being Too Much & that's a shame bc it's an infectious attitude that's not good for anyone #so yeah anyway I hope this changes and that at least reblog rates go up again #mine #also icydk tuesdays were supernatural gif days. just endless posts of like 30 gifs a piece
