#ok context for this train of thot is a sketch pile of an au abt the arc team somehow meeting a semi-corporeal ryoma #and i was thinking. towards the end of his natural life ryoma was kind of apprehensive abt the whole giant robot thing #i think that if he found out he somehow had a child and also that his best friends first impulse upon meeting the child #was to stuff him in the robot he would be ummm upset lol. OK hold on thisll be long #ryoma nagare #and it's like. ryomas fear was the getter turning the universe into an endless iteration of itself thru emperor #and imooo. arc has some Things To Say abt the cyclical nature of violence but ends too soon obvs #the easy thing to write would be that ryoma and takuma would meet and immediately be gung-ho violence guys #but there's a horror in knowing that you/your bloodline are gonna be stuck doing the same thing over and over #until the universe is literally destroyed #its also interesting to think abt this in regards to the Endless Reboots nature of mecha genre........ #but yeah it's like.
