Ada

I imagine after Ruiz and Gale got engaged, Ruiz realized that they really want to see their Step-Mum, Ada. The two would of started to have regular correspondences after the fight, but had yet to see each other face to face.

Gale would encourage them to invite Ada over, and they would. Funnily enough, I think Ada would end up meeting Morena first. Just two mums on a walk. And I think Morena would try to figure out what Ada's deal is.

Morena would ask if she's visiting the "Archmage in the tower"

And Ada would casually be like "Just visiting my child- Oh I think they are engaged to one actually-"

And I think the first thoughts that would cross Ada's mind seeing Ruiz for the first time in 18 years is, "Goodness... They've... aged" Not in a negative way but in a "I forgot you were half-elf and not my bio-child" sorta way.

Ya know, cue emotional reunion and then a whole bunch more things play out- BUT I mostly just thought about the first meeting/impressions. (Also I think Ruiz would look slightly older than Ada, despite being much younger. Because ya know. Elven biology and all.)

I think she would be happy so see that they are doing well, even that they've aged. Since it means that they've been getting through life. But I think it would make her very sad, knowing that she's missed a huge chunk of their life.

Also serves as a reminder that it's good she's gotten to see them again, considering there's a good chance she will outlive them. And that her time with them is very limited.
