Astarion was out in the woods, he had finished feeding, but he didn't want to go back to the camp just yet. He wanted to enjoy the night, specially the full moon, it looked beautiful. As he walked around the forest, he thought about doing something fun, like repeat some vows he'd heard a while back. It was probably silly, but why not is not like on one will hear them. So there he was, repeating those vows in the most dramatic way possible, it sounded like a poem. He didn't forget a word, he said them perfectly, he sounded almost as if he was actually telling them to somebody.
Afterwards, he thought about heading back, but before he could leave. He felt something grab his ankle. It felt like a hand, looking down, he literally saw a blue hand gripping tightly onto his ankle. He tried to get the hand off him, but the grip was strong, after struggling a bit, he managed to get away. Except the hand was still attached to his ankle, he removed the now arm throwing it away. Then he saw how the ground began to move, instead of running, he only watched as the dirt began to move around. Then he saw a head, covered with a veil pop out, followed by their other hand which helped them dig themselves out. All he could do was watch, almost in horror.
The figure was finally out, it was a woman. Dressed in what a bride would wear, except her white dress is covered in dirt and roots, along the vain. She then removed the vail away from her face, revealing herself. Her skin was a light blue, a bit of her left cheek was missing, her eyes were those grey-bluish color, her lips a pinkish color. Her hair was also blue, but a much darker tone. Her skin still seemed to be intact, she hasn't completely decompose, but she was beginning to do so slowly. her sclera was yellow and decorated with red veins. The left side of her ribs had a chunk missing, as if she was stabbed. She seemed to have been murdered not that long ago. The woman looked at him dead in the eyes and she gave him smile. "I do." She whispered back to him.
Tumblr media
Next thing he knew, you began to follow him around. He tried to explain to you that it was merely him just jesting and he didn't expect you to take his words seriously. But you didn't seem to care, you were just happy to have a husband like you've always wanted. The next day Astarion told everyone in the camp what had happed, they were surprised that you, a living corpse was technically alive but not really. Tav didn't seem to mind you tagging along, as log as you didn't put youself and others in danger, if they didn't have an issue, neither did the others.
You were attached to Astarion, who you'd refer to him as your husband. He'd nag at you that he wasn't, but he did not care, you'd still call him your husband and tell others that he was the now love of your life. He grew tired of it and just played along with it. He wouldn't call you his wife, only by your name. You didn't mind at all. You tried getting to know him, what his interests were along with his back story. You were very curious about your now husband, you wanted to learn almost everything about him. Besides that, people found it a bit odd that you, a corpse was walking around dressed as a bride, telling everyone about your husband.
Tumblr media
That night the party was at an inn, after helping the small village with something. Astarion wanted to leave the room, maybe find someone to bed. But there was a problem, you. He needed to come up with some excuse, so he did. He said that he was going out for a walk, you thought about joining but he told you that he wanted you to stay in the inn because he had a surprise for you, so without hesitation in staying in the room. After you made yourself comfortable, he left. To find someone to have a bit of fun with. He did, he found a woman, who seemed to be also looking for the same thing as him.
It was while, he had completely forgot about you in the inn. He was focused on getting the woman to fall for his charm. He was too into it that he didn't notice you coming right behind him. "I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself, I was wanted to see if-" you stopped mid sentence. You saw how Astarion and the woman got a bit close to one another. It was awkward. You then grabbed his arm and pulled him close to you. "Darling, who is this?" you asked him, looking at the woman. The woman was shocked at what she was seeing. "Who is she?" she asked Astarion who was silent. "I'm his wife." You stated to her. "She is?" The woman said, then Astarion spoke. "Wait you don't understand, she's dead." He said, taking your boney hand and giving it a shake, making your bones rattling. You then removed your hand from his grip and glared at him.
Back in the room, you were not happy and it was obvious. "You lied to me! Just so that you could go and find comfort in some woman!" You accused him, crossing your arms over your chest upset. "Come on, did you really think that you were the only one?" he said smugly. "Yes! You're married to me! You shouldn't be looking for another woman!" You then began to cry into your hands. Actual tears or what could be considered tears were flooding from your eyes. "I thought, this was going so well." You sobbed, then out of nowhere your right eye had popped out of your socket, making it roll across the room. You didn't seem to care about that at the moment. Astarion then picked it up and gave it a small clean before handing it back to you. "Look, I'm sorry, but this just can't work." He said honestly. "Why not?" You asked, taking your eye back. "Its my eye isn't it?" you asked again, while putting your eye back in your socket.
"No, your eye is... lovely." He said a bit awkwardly. "Is.. in a different circumstances, well. Who knows, we're just to different. You're dead." he argued. "But so are you." You said in tears, you went silent, then added. "Y-You should have thought about that before you asked me to marry you." You stated to him. "Why can't you understand, it was a mistake. I would never marry you." He finished with an annoyed tone. Your eyes widen by his confession, this made your non beating heart break, you sighed. Walking out of the room to leave. Astarion watched you leave, sadden by how he talked to you. He couldn't help but feel guilty now. Was he really feeling guilt? That's new, he felt awful now. You didn't do anything wrong, you were vulnerable and innocent. You'd never hurt a fly or anyone. He felt like an idiot. He needed to apologize to you, but first he wanted to give you your space to try and figure out on how to apologize. Something he's never done in two hundred years.

Neytiri was everything to Jake. She was the one who had helped him become one of the people, she guided him thought everything. Not only that, but they had four beautiful kids together. Sadly, during her last birth, she didn't make it. Jake didn't want to believe it, he asked Norm and Max if they could do something, but nothing could be done. Neytiri had died.
Jake mourned for months, he wasn't over his wife's death. As much as he wanted to move on, he couldn't, he felt that if he did, he'd forget about her. He refused to forget about her. Mo'at had convinced him that he would not forget about her, ever. He was slightly convinced, but not fully. Not only that, but his kids needed him, they were still young and they too lost their mother, he didn't think about it till now. Jake had to move on, for himself and his kids.
More months passed, everything was fine. Then he met you, a na'vi from the clan he met one night during a celebration. You two had become friends, but little by little, you began to develop feelings for one another. After some time, you and Jake had decided to make it official. This should have been a good sign for him, he had finally moved on and he seemed happy again, even his kids noticed their father's change, they too seemed happy for him.
Tumblr media
Almost a year had passed since you and Jake were together, but there was something that was on your mind. You wanted to make your bond with Jake, but he didn't. At first you were confused, but you understood him, so you didn't commit tsaheylu. You wanted to give him some time, you didn't want to push him into bonding with you.
Then you began to notice some things. How Jake would often point out on how certain things would look good on you. For example, you've always had your up in a single braid, but Jake had made a comment that your hair would look good in many different braids. You didn't think much of it, you thought that a change in your hair would do you some kind good. You liked trying new things. When you had got your hair braided, Jake was surprised by the change in your hair but he liked it a lot. He says it reminded him of Neytiri. At first it caught you off guard, but you brushed it off.
It happened again, this time it was the way that you dressed. You liked to wear bright colors and many beads on, Jake had said that feathers and more natural forest colors would look good on you. Again, you thought it would be nice to try new things. So you began to wear more dull colors and feathers. Jake seemed to very like them a lot on you. Even the kids seem to like this change of yours. They had said you looked a lot like their mom. That was a harmless complement right?
Tumblr media
You began to notice a lot of things that you didn't notice before. You noticed how when Jake brought you back flowers from the forest, they weren't exactly your favorite kind of flowers, but you thought the gesture was nice. You didn't think much of it, until you caught on these flowers were the same ones Neytiri liked. You found out when you saw them in Neytiri's grave. They were decorated on the tree rots and some were scattered around her body.
Then came the way that you made food. You weren't much of a hunter, but you still provided for the hut. The kids seem to like your cooking, but Jake didn't seem like a big fan. You noticed how he'd often make comments that it would of been better if you added some of this or some of that. What kind of cut you off guard was when he mentioned how Neytiri would cook. Her again. You didn't want to argue over something that wasn't that serious, but that comment of Jake's has had you thinking a lot.
It kept happening. But in one particular moment you had enough. It was a quiet night, the kids had been at their grandmother's, so it was just you and Jake. That moment was when you and him, decided to have some time alone. During the intimate moment, everything was going smoothly. Until he said her name. Neytiri. That caused your heart to nearly stopped. The moment was ruined. You had basically pushed Jake off of you, when Jake asked what was wrong. All you did was get up and take off running out the hut, ignoring his call for you.
You didn't return to the hut, you stayed out to think about everything that had been happening and what you didn't see at the beginning. Basically everything had been lie. Jake wasn't looking for someone else, he was looking for a replacement of his late wife. Someone that he could morph into her, that someone was you. Now that you had an idea of what was happening, you looked at yourself in a puddle of water. You didn't see yourself, you saw her. You had her same exact hair and you began to dress like her, you were no longer yourself. It hurt a lot, Jake didn't want you at all. He wanted her.
The next morning you were back, Jake had been worried sick about you, he asked if you were okay and why took off. You just told him that you were fine and nothing was wrong. That was a lie, everything was wrong. He just gave you a hug, happy that you were back.
Tumblr media
Days had passed since then, you had stopped being as happy as you were. Jake had taken notice of this, he saw how you no longer greeted him with a hug and kiss like you normally did. You just said a hello and went back on your business. It confused him, but he felt that he should make it up to you. So he began to bring you flowers. Those same flowers that she liked it. You just thanked him and took the flowers. Instead of decorating them on the hut like you used to, you went and placed the flowers on her grave. They were flowers for her anyway.
Jake thought he had made things better, but not completely. You were still suffering, but he didn't notice because you'd act happy around him and the kids. But someone had noticed, the very last person you'd expect to notice. Mo'at. Every time she'd look at you, she could sense your suffering. She knew something was wrong with you. She needed to figure out what it was to help you.
So she began to investigate, she asked the Great Mother for clues, then she got them. She noticed everything right away. From your change of hair, attire and how had completely stopped being yourself. How did she not notice this sooner. But it wasn't because of you, this was Jake's doing. He had cause your suffering. Mo'at was not happy, when she meant by moving on, was to find someone new, not a replacement of her daughter. So needed to do something, she needed to end your misery.
Tumblr media
That day you were on your own in the hut, making dinner. Mo'at had showed up to the hut. As soon as you saw her, you greeted her respectfully. "I need to talk to you about something." She said, crutching down to your level. You couldn't help but feel a lump in your throat. "What is it Tsahik." You asked. "You're suffering." That's all she said, making your eyes widen, then you hung your head low, almost in shame. "Why is that? Talk to me child." She said, wanting to know how you were feeling.
There was no denying it, she knew. And you had made it obvious that it was true. "Oh Mo'at." You almost whimpered. "As much as I try to be strong, I can't. I'm not your daughter and I will never be her." You said, in tears. Mo'at got close and stroked your braided hair softly. "I know." She said comfortingly. "No one will ever be her. She's already gone. She already lived out her life. No one could ever be her." She said, pulling you into a hug. As you sobbed, you hugged the older woman back. "You're hurting, it is no good for you child." She said, stroking your hair softly. "But, I have to. I want Jake and the kids to be happy, even if that means having to be someone else." You added, as you cried.
The Tsahik then looked at you in the eyes, wiping your tears with her thumbs. "My child, as much as you love them. You're in pain. This pain will only get worse if you keep on this act. You're slowly killing yourself." She stated, as you softly whimpered. "You're not well child, you're not long yourself. You're a mare replica of my late daughter. Not only are you an imposter, you're an imposter to yourself." She said. All you could do was listen. Mo'at was right, you no longer where the person you once were. "What could I do?" You asked. Mo'at took a deep breath, softly moving your hands down to your shoulders and squeezing them softly.
"Go." She said, but she wasn't finished. "Leave the forest, go find yourself again. Find the real you." She stated. You were confused by her words. "But, what of the kids? What of Jake?" you asked her. "Don't worry about them, they will be okay. Right now you need to think about you. What you have to do is worry about yourself. For a while you thought of others. Now it is time you think for yourself." She stated. Again, she was right, you had stopped thinking about yourself a while back. You had to start thinking about yourself now. You looked back at the Tsahik, seen the look on your face, she knew that you had made up your mind in leaving. "You should leave tomorrow morning, early before the sun reaches the sky." She said, then she got up from the floor and headed towards the opening. "I know you made the right decision, and I know that you'll find yourself again." She finally said, then she left. You were going to leave, you needed to leave.
When Jake and the kids had returned, you had dinner, your final dinner with them. After dinner, you had tucked the kids back in for the last time. Wishing them a good night. When it came to going to bed yourself with Jake. You couldn't help but worry on what would happen to him and how he'd react when he woke up to you gone. Who knows. You were leaving and you weren't letting your worries change your mind.
The next morning, you had woken up early. Getting very little things to take. You also had taken off the braids from your hair and changed back into what you liked to wear. You were ready to leave. You got on your ikran, you had taken off into the ocean. You turned back to look at the forest one final time, remembering your once home. But that home had become some kind of trap, you turned away, if you continued to look at the home, you would turn back. You kept looking forward, not looking back.

You couldn't believe it, your brother, your twin is dead. You along with your younger brother, Tsireya, Spider, your dad and mom watched as he died. You watched how he tried to tell your dad something, but he didn't finish due to him succumb to his injuries and took his last breath. You still remembered how your mom screamed and begged for Eywa to not take him. You still remember how Lo'ak hands were stained with Neteyam's blood and how he looked up at the sky, already in tears. As if he was hoping for some kind of answer. Not only that but how your father went into a state of shock, he stood still as your mom cried over Neteyam's body along with both Spider and Tsireya. What kept you at ease was that he didn't die alone.
The funeral was already over, everyone had already left back to their mauris, except for you. You were still at the beach, looking at the ocean, in the spot where Neteyam was buried. Your face still had the white stripe you wore during the whole ceremony. As well as dried tears on your cheeks. You still couldn't believe it, your other half, gone. The person you shared a womb with, had your first bond with while in the same womb. Your brother was gone. It hurt a lot, you felt as if something had drilled a hole in your heart. You knew it'll be a while to move on, you knew that he'd want you to move on and not mope your life away.
You were busy looking at the ocean, your eyes burning from crying and red. You didn't hear someone approach behind you until he spoke out to you. "Are you ready?" you turned, seen that it was Lo'ak holding two spears. "For what?" you asked, then he tossed you a spear which you caught. "To go after them." Lo'ak said, he too also had the white line still painted on his face. "I get how your feeling.... but going after them won't change anything." You told him, throwing the spear onto the sand. "Won't change anything? Our brother is dead and it's because of them!" Lo'ak shouted. Then you turned to face him. "Killing will only lead to more killing." You repeated the same thing that Tonowari had said in the past.
Lo'ak looked at you in disbelief, you turned away to not face him. "I see." He said angrily. "If you kill them you're just as bad as they were!" You claimed. Then you attempted to take the spear from him, but he pushed you off. "Oh what would you know?!" He hissed at you. "I'm only doing what Neteyam would of wanted, he wouldn't want you to risk your life avenging his death! That won't bring him back!" You shouted back. "You think Neteyam wouldn't want his death to be avenged!? Someone who actually cared about him wouldn't just sit here and do nothing!" he snapped at you. You grabbed his arm so that he'd stop and face you. "Lo'ak, don't upset the Great mother." You warned. He only rolled his eyes and sighed. "Eywa, thanks for your wisdom." He said, almost like an insult, then turned away.
Then stopped, Tsireya was right in front of him, with sadness in her eyes. She had a pleading look for him not to do what he planned on doing. Lo'ak only looked at her, then he went around her, going on with his plan. Tsireya watched him walk away, then she went up to you. "Please, don't let him go with it, he could get himself killed." She begged, you could see and hear her concern. You looked at her, and nodded. "I will, I'm not losing another brother of mine." You said to her, without hesitation, you went after him. You weren't going to loose him either, that's not what Neteyam would of wanted.
