my conspiracy theory rn is that that new law coming in japan where mangakas have to reveal their identities is why gege akutami is absolutely jus taking the piss rn. like there were signs of bad writing before but the way this is going and everyone saying how it feels like they're jus trying to end the series as soon as possible it feels like they're trying to barrel to the end and dip before being legally required to put their identity out there
