Ben’s heart almost immediately started racing as he recognised the figure before him, that spiky silhouette which should have brought a smile to his face, yet only had him wishing he was talking to the real Sonic instead. He stared up at them for several moments with a frightened gaze, open mouth helplessly trying and failing to get out any words at first. Damnit, he didn’t think he’d get found by that freaky Sonic from that game Grace had sent him when they were kids! Who would ever expect something like that to be real, let alone discover so years after they played the game??
