look i know ben platt is like really fucking famous now and that his vocals are absolutely magnificent and arguably one of the main reasons on as to why dear evan hansen became so fucking successful which is why they just HAD to cast him in the movie but like,,, i will still argue that having teenagers play teenagers in the movie would have been a lot more emotional and impactful since well the dark tones of the plot concerns teenagers so um yea Andrew Barth Feldman should've played Evan Hansen in the movie and I will die on that hill-

#ANDREW IS LITERALLY A TEEN #HE'S PERFECT FOR THIS #hmm even if he really was gonna be cast umm he probably wpuldnt be able to join due to college stuffs #bUT MY POINT IS IN ORDER TO HAMMER DOWN THE FACT THAT MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES ARE BEING EXPERIENCED BY TEENAGERS WORLDWIDE #hAVE THE TEENAGERS IN THE FREAKING MOVIE BE PLAYED BY TEENAGERS OR AT LEAST PEOPLE THAT REALLY LOOK YOUNG #because having adults that Do Not Look Young play teenagers in a movie with a plot that has a lot of dark tones #creates um some sort of dissonance really. like how do i explain this jdjs it appears jarring #it just doesnt have the same impact #(the exception to this rule is um the spring awakening musical movie cause i DUNNO HOW THEY'LL PULL THAT OFF TJXBDBF) #dear evan hansen #dear evan hansen movie #evan hansen #andrew barth feldman
