DAY TWO - KISS ON THE FOREHEAD
Hideduo kiss week day two :DD (like 16 hours late but who cares)
683 words | Established relationship | Fluff
Fit's husband has not yet come to their bed and it's nearly one in the morning
Pac’s been closed in his workshop the entire day. Fit carried him dinner to there when it started getting late, but he didn’t get a glance on what he was doing. He just saw that the normal heaps of mess were just the slightest bit bigger. He hopes Pac took a break and actually ate at least a bit. Fit’s put their kids to sleep maybe three hours ago. He has also decided to shower and get into their bed at least an hour ago. It was now 00:49 according to the clock on Pac’s bedside table. And Pac was still nowhere.
Fit sighed, slid a bookmark into the book he was currently reading — a book Cellbit sounded passionate about a bit ago. It was some type of mystery with supernatural elements — and got out of bed. His husband got a tendency to do stupid things sometimes — he wasn’t alone in that — and Fit wouldn’t let him work through the whole night. There were more days before them, and Pac tended to work with dangerous stuff. Leaving him working sleep-deprived wouldn’t do anyone any favours.
Stepping into the hallway, he noticed that the light escaping from under the door to the lab was surprisingly dim. Usually, the motion activated light Pac installed there to see properly on his work shone to the point that it was basically blinding. Huh. Maybe the lightbulb broke? It would be weird, as Pac installed it only a few months back — a bit after they moved together into the new house —, but weirder things have happened on the island.
Opening the door revealed that the lightbulb worked as well as it should’ve. Fit had a chance to see that for himself, as he had to rub his eyes furiously for a solid minute as he was flash banged by the light the second the door moved. Not for the first time, he cursed Pac for making the motion detectors incredibly sensitive. Once they were turned on by a small fly. Sometimes by a too quickly moving shadow outside the room. And now by just the tiniest movement of the door.
As soon as he could see again, he immediately noticed his Pac lying on his workbench, now trying to find a position in which the light wouldn’t shine in his eyes. He was clearly dead asleep just a bit ago and still probably really drowsy. His longish hair was splayed over the table, mixed in between piles of scrap metal, welding sticks and a welding torch. Fortunately, it was turned off.
Fit made the few steps to Pac’s side, and when his bleary eyes turned to him, he just smiled and leaned down to pick him up. Pac, probably still half asleep and confused, leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his forehead. Fit could just feel his cheeks starting to flush. Even after a bit over a year of being boyfriends and nearly half a year of being married, he couldn’t stop having big reactions to every even the smallest act of affection. But at this point, he wouldn’t even want to stop. And so he, still with rose blushed cheeks, picked up his beloved, and while making slow steps out of the lab and towards their bedroom, reciprocated the gesture. The only response to it was Pac just burying his face deeper into his shoulder and probably starting to fall asleep again.
Reaching their bed, he carefully sat the sleeping beauty on his own edge of the bed and helped him out of his trousers and T-shirt. He wouldn’t have dirty clothing in his bed, no, thank you. During this, Pac slumped against him again. Neither of them ever really cared much for pyjamas, and so Fit just quickly grabbed Pac one of his own clean, looser T-shirts. With his own sigh and a tiny hum from his shoulder, he climbed into their bed, never letting go of his husband.
Lastly, he reached behind himself and turned off his bedside lamp. He breathed in the nice smell of Pac’s hair, kissed it, and fell asleep.
