in my crystalline sphere curufin always wears gloves out in public for smithchic villainpilled and ocd/autistic swag purposes but also because his hands and most of the way up his arms are all burned and pitted from holding onto fëanor when he died :)) he's not self-conscious he just thinks that the last and most lasting remembrance-token of his father should be just for them and nobody else (psychosexually) !
