okay yes this feels right and good

ahhhh the quiet moments with hardison here are so good (and in 1.01, too) -- i love they way eliot gently guides and encourages him, and i love the way he and parker are so much on the same wavelength.  he’s always had grand plans and his skillset has always had a larger scope, and he’s always just done more because he's Good like that.  i’m sad to see him leave (and lbr if parker cries i cry) but i love that he’s grown so much, become so much more.  he didn’t have as drastic a personal journey in original flavor leverage, but that’s because it was only the beginning of his road.  he really has grown up in the 8 years between then and now and that’s okay.  it’s good.  (they really did frame this perfectly.)

love that parker, eliot, and hardison cross-trained (or, continued cross-training) into each other’s fields (also love that parker and eliot, who both work in largely physical disciplines, did this more successfully with each other)

i’m still not quite sure how i feel about the parker-hardison-eliot dynamic; there’s so much between them but we also see a divide between parker-and-hardison and eliot in terms of team decision making?  hopefully with hardison elsewhere we’ll get more of a sense of how parker and eliot are with each other (maybe it’s just me but the way they understood each other in og leverage is really important to me and i don’t want that to have fallen by the wayside)

also we saw parker step into the mastermind role at the end of s5 but in 1.01-2 sophie seems to be the de facto boss; is this going to continue? will it be a source of tension? everyone kind of stepped into their former roles for the reunion concert, but they’ve all changed and there are new people as well and so sophie, parker, and eliot all need to figure out who they are in this new team.
