{Eclipsa reminds me of Anthy (from revolutionary girl utena) BC she always seems to say things that get under peoples skin so that they do what she wants

Moon is the biggest example of this. During Total Eclipse of The Moon, Eclipsa drops a comment about the fate of her daughter, that understandably causes Moon to stop and put herself in Eclipsas shoes.

In fact, empathy is mostly what Eclipsa uses to get under Moons skin. When they first met Eclipaa references thr fact her own mother was dead, creating common ground between them and inspiring Moon to make a deal with her.

I think the dynamic between Moon and Eclipsa in thr tavern is further evidence of this. Eclipsa treats her so "kindly" even though shes partially responsible for Globgors possible death. I think it's Eclipsa slyly twisting the knife, shes punishing Moon with kindness. The "nicer" she is the more Moon tells herself she doesnt deserve it, erroding at her confidence.}
