okay but the vlad-danny foil dynamic drives me nuts like it does something to my brain

I AM NORMAL AND HAVE MORALS. #but its like ouughhh somethinf about how they could have been cordial with each other #even a mentorship type but vlads greed and entitlement ruined any chance of one #like vlad and danny are similar not just as half ghosts but like danny can be manipulative and its so fun #danny plays dirty hes not above going for the jugular and kicking while someone’s down #and he does abuse his powers. the parallels between vlad awakening pariah vs danny awakening fright knight #but danny has a moral code and vlad does not. danny is just a good guy. not necessarily a nice one tbh #and i think danny does look up to vlad in a weird way like he hates his guys but he’s begrudgingly like yeah but he CAN duplicate #plus they really are the only ones who can truly understand each other and thats sort of tragic that they are against each other #bc SOMEONE couldnt stop being an absolute dickwad #also vlad trying to adopt danny is hilariously pathetic and is my fave part of the dynamic #basically the ideal dynamic is antagonism but with some respect (tragic)
