hi i’m not doing propaganda for the mcyt poll but i am doing propaganda for my all time new favorite fic

it’s rare for me to read longfics, but God of the Grove by Duchess_Of_Dumpsters really hit somewhere deep and it’s everything i’ve ever wanted in a fic. it’s a zit fic of course (who do u take me for) but it’s not often i step away from a fic feeling kinda. Alive, y’know? it’s a three-parter, and i’ve linked the second bit mostly because the buildup to the climax and ending is so, so GOOD. its also just a real good time for imagery folks—the narration is god-tier and the descriptions of the mountain make me want to sob into my pillow—i can just feel every single emotion put into this and it makes me so happy.

i recommend reading the first part before the second of course, but the second fic just hits all the right marks for me. honestly both of them do and it’s probably why the ending of the second one hit as hard as it did. it’s like. not to get sappy but fics like these make love feel unreal, like it’s such a high point in life to reach but once you do, it’s the greatest feeling. listen i am so normal about these fics. please give it a read
