was talking to some friends about my ricci bros murder mystery thing and I ended up doing some mild character analysis (?) of how they generally operate

silvio is a fucking goody goody. like idk how else to put it. rowdy he may be, yes, but silvio does NOT like getting into trouble. it’s far less risky and troublesome for him to just buy out whoever he needs to buy out, wade through piles of red tape and paperwork, and just sit and wait until he gets the results he wants. thing about him is he’s a very patient man (when it comes to his work) + he knows the value of time and information. he’s not gonna waste his money on things that won’t bring him profit, BUT he doesn’t mind putting people in his wallet if it speeds up the process a little. for the most part though silvio likes to keep his hands (and record) clean

emidio and valerio tho?? they’re dirty little bitches. especially emidio who’s immoral as fuck. emidio dont give a single fuck, he’ll steal, coerce, blackmail, endanger, and kill anyone and everyone he needs to for his shit. the only thing about emidio is he cares for his image, deeply, so he won’t do the dirty work himself, he’s gonna threaten others into doing it for him and then tie up loose ends so it doesn’t trace back to him (emidio’s a fucking scumbag idgaf about him)

rio….. kind of oscillates between his brothers; he’s not amoral like emidio, but he’s not completely patient like silvio is. if doing things the legal way does not yield results that are satisfactory or fast enough, he will do things the illegal way. only thing about rio is he won’t have others getting the info for him like silvio and emidio; rio does all the nasty work himself. not because he doesn’t trust other people (he doesn’t, but that’s not the point) but because if the only neck he’s risking is his OWN, it gives him free reign to do basically whatever he wants, which is really anything short of outright murder (as seen with how he had no qualms driving adria to her death)

actually i dont think this is character analysis, more just some observations and conclusions i’ve come to after reading how they interact and work with others in routes and events. do wanna tag @ominousjangling and @vioisgoinginsane as the resident silvio and rio enjoyers if y’all wanna like. add anything i may have missed or just offer your own thoughts but obviously you don’t have to hffjssgjdshjdgjkffgjj

#random ramblings #mostly did this because i have this vague concept of a scene where the boys + emma have to break into an abandoned warehouse for some info #for all his brashness and ruff’n’tuff demeanor silvio is (un)surprisingly the most ethical of the three in how he does his work #and my thoughts are if silvio is worried about them getting caught rio is greasing the fucking door hinges so they DONT get caught #that’s the fundamental difference between the two i think
