Anyone else filled with blinding rage at how YouTube is progressively rolling out ads now?

The new 20+ second long ads with really glitchy skip buttons were bad enough, but today I paused a video and it fucking pulled up a sidebar next to the paused video to show me a Lexus ad. A la fucking hulu. Can we have no peace? Can I not PAUSE THE FUCKING VIDEO without being bombarded with ads on anything now? Is there no reprieve??!?!?

#literally yelled and pointed at it on the screen earlier until my fiancé came over to look and then we were both mad abt it #like for fucks sake #and on top of them shoving this shit down our throats #from the creators I follow there apparently they're getting paid EVEN LESS on ads than before #which is insanity #my formative YouTube years were before ads were even a concept on the site #so I remember even seeing them throw a five second ad every few videos in the beginning being irritating #what a fool I was because we've fallen so so far #YouTube #ads
