I headcanon that Dr Fry was summoned to the shitty little York hospital to interpret Melisha's test results. He was the only competent doctor in neuroimagery who accepted to come, and since he's also in the domain of behavioural psychology, he'd be a perfect match to treat the weird woman who seemingly sparked a fit of hystérie à deux (considering her husband's shaken mental state). Neither Willard nor Melisha Tweedy were being coherent about what caused this, after all!
