playerz : activities .

formed by daeseong, junho, minho, beomseok and youngjae, the group has very sporadic activity due to the fact that they all have their main groups and always focus on those — daseong with 4fusion, junho with his solo career & minho, beomseok and youngjae with prism. however, since the 5 of them became close friends, they would often post dance and song covers together and often talk about their friendship and variety shows whenever they were promoting together. their connection became quite well known to fans, who absolutely loved seeing any content of them all together. it was then that they started posting more and, eventually, were suggested to do a song together. that was the official debut of playerz and it was a hit. now, on occasion, they will sometimes have comebacks whenever time allows for them to do so without getting in the way of working or promoting their original groups. still, official release or not, the 5 of them are still often seen together and supporting each other everywhere.

seo joonwoong & gan daehyun & roh yeonghwan : disbandment & reunion .

when syn:energy disbanded, all three of them had already established their solo careers or were starting to, so, while they were all active, they remained in touch as much as they possibly could. however, when daehyun announced his hiatus, which ended up lasting roughly two years, he simply disappeared, as he felt very strongly the need to pull himself away from everything relating to his idol life before, including the friends he cherished deeply. joonwoong and yeonghwan both respected that, despite very much worrying for him and trying to find out anything they could about what he was doing. it wasn't easy to do so, however, since he was no longer active on any social media either  —  at least not on his official ones.

when daeseong, daehyun's younger brother, debuted with his first group, yeonghwan ended up running into him on shows and things of the sort and asked him about how his sibling was doing. daeseong gave general and vague answers, knowing daehyun had chosen to isolate himself  —  and because they had also sadly grown distant at that time, even if they would see each other back at home on occasion.

when the survival show started and 4fusion debuted, both joonwoong and yeonghwan were keeping up with it and rooting for daehyun, but they had yet to have a chance to talk to him again. at this point, it was almost a little awkward, as if neither of them knew how to approach each other. the opportunity only came months later, when the final line up was already established and promoting their songs. joonwoong was on a music show promoting his newest solo at the same time as 4fusion, while yeonghwan was doing his job as mc of said show.

at first, none of them truly acknowledged each other due to awkwardness, but, when it was time for everyone to come to the center of the stage to hear the winner of the day, yeonghwan couldn't help going a little bit rogue. he was the one to bring up the fact that it was the first time that three members of syn:energy were back on stage together, even if doing their own projects  —  and, as he did so, he called out both joonwoong and daehyun to come closer. albeit they hesitated for a moment, they ended up doing just that. unable to help himself, joonwoong smiled and ruffled daehyun's hair, saying that he was proud of him. that little interaction was what they needed to break the ice and, not even five minutes later, they were hugging each other on stage as everyone else watched. by the time they finally pulled away, fans could swear they saw daehyun's eyes well up with tears, as all three of them became clearly a bit emotional  —  and that was the catalyst for the rumors and requests for the group's reunion to happen, which they later finally responded to.
