Don't Expect "Private" DNA Results from Genealogy Websites and Medical Tests to Remain Private:
People who send in DNA (Genomics) testing requests to find relatives (from Ancestry.com, 23andMe,, etc.) should not expect the results to remain private. As our privacy is constantly being violated, and with more government control, our DNA can be used against us for all kinds of nefarious purposes without our knowledge. Police are using this information for criminal investigations and insurance companies could use the results to limit buying Life Insurance. Don't assume that any medical testing, where DNA can be extracted (nose swab, throat swab, blood test, hair sample), will remain private.
