just a little fluffy george clarke drabble about him being ill

very drunk at posting, re-reading it's probably a little cringe

love u all <3

you loved george, you really did.

but when he was sick? he was infuriating, to say the least.

at first, he'd be in complete denial.

when you come round to his house after a day at work, slipping your shoes off at the door and saying hello to whoever was in the kitchen before making your way to his room, knocking gently on the door before walking in, and you see george curled in his bed, his skin damp from sweats, his duvet discarded and him left in only his boxers with a dumbly weak smile, you of course know he is ill.

"you didn't tell me you weren't feeling well," you said softly, sitting on the edge of his bed, not wanting to disturb him as he practically used all his energy to shake his head slightly.

"'m not ill, just woke up from a nap, that's all," he denied, and you rolled your eyes slightly at him. you could tell by his slightly raspy voice he wasn't well, if the sight in front of you wasn't enough. it was a little attractive, and you felt slightly weird finding your deathly looking boyfriend's sick voice hot.

"george, you're sweating,"

"it's warm in here, aren't you warm?" he babbled out, and you shook your head slightly at him.

"it's winter, it's bloody freezing. you don't need to pretend you're not sick, you idiot," you gently teased, and he groaned a little.

"i'm gonna go get you some water, do you want some paracetamol as well or anything?" you asked tenderly, and he pretty much ignored the question.

"didn't know you were coming round tonight," he said, and you shrugged.

"just felt like something might have been up, you've been sleeping the days away the past couple of days," you explained, and he shrugged back.

"just tired, thats all," he tried to lie through his teeth, but you just shook your head again.

"have you eaten yet today?" you asked, and george's head flopping back into the pillow told you all you needed to know.

you laughed a little, though endearingly, at him, "right, so what do you think you can stomach? chicken noodles? toast?"

"you don't need to make me anything, just stay here," he murmured as his hand loosely wrapped around your waist, in a feeble attempt to drag you into his bed, but you just laughed a little more, gently removing his arm.

"george," you insisted again, and he looked up at you almost guiltily.

"fine, i'll eat some toast if you'll stop worrying," he said quietly, and you nodded, pushing yourself back up to standing from his bed.

you had practically lived in the boys flat for a while now, so went to the kitchen and made some toast, along with grabbing some paracetamol and pouring a glass of water whilst waiting for the kettle to boil, thinking some tea might do him some good.

when you returned to the bedroom, he was sat up slightly in his bed, and you passed him the plate, two buttered slices of toast resting on it as you placed the paracetamol, tea and waterbottle on his bedside table.

"will you come sit down now?" george asked, and you giggled a little.

"you're very clingy when you're ill," you teased, "let me clean up some of the washing for you, and open the window, just to sort your room out a little and then i'll come," you said, hearing a slight groan of protest from george again.

"you don't need to clean my room, i'll sort it," he murmured, but you just rolled your eyes once more.

"you look like you'd pass out if you even stood up right now," you teased.

whilst you were picking up the crumpled clothes from the floor, damp with sweat, you could hear the occasional crunch of toast and you could feel his eyes on you, impatiently waiting for you to finish.

once you were done, you sat next to him, as he placed his half eaten toast on his bedside table and practically curled next to you, his arm wrapping lazily around your side and his head leaning against you.

you gently pushed the small amount of hair from his forehead, which had been practically stuck down with sweat.

"if you're still tired, you can go back to sleep, you don't have to stay awake for me," you reassured, but he just murmured out, "haven't seen you in a while, don't want you to be bored,"

"don't worry, i won't be bored. i might even nap with you," you laughed a little, and he practically pulled you down with his weight in a laying position, making you laugh a bit more.

"okay, a nap with you does sound good."

"let me just put on one of your shirts, okay? been in my work clothes far too long, and they're not the most comfy to sleep in," you explained, quickly walking to his dresser and getting changed, swapping your knit jumper for his shirt, and your pants for a pair of his boxers, george once again just watching as you did so.

"if i wasn't so ill i'd be so horny right now," he joked as you changed in front of him.

you grinned a little at his horny teenage boy esque mind, "so you admit you're ill?" you teased, and he rolled his eyes in return.

"i might be a little bit ill."
