#glitch goes to charmed 2024

charmed 2024: day one
- coffee in the evening the night before = incapable of sleep. somehow managed to get a couple hours before getting up around 5:30am to head to the airport.
- my ride to the airport was nice, if a bit too chatty for the early hour and my lack of sleep. he was a tow truck driver in chicago for 30 years, doesn't want to see snow again, and his grandkids are spread across the states in terms of which universities they're attending.
- flight went much better than the trip i had a week-ish ago. i greatly prefer southwest. i was somewhat nervous the asian fellow next to me was going to topple onto my shoulder as he slept, but he was ok.
- airports are liminal spaces and time is soup
- con badge woo! hotel checkin woo (and cookies)! unpacking and immediately taking a shower and feeling human again woo! meeting people woo! lots of hugs woo!
- tatertots and spicy water
- i thought about going to the social event, but the amount of noise i heard coming from the room made me incredibly anxious
- i got more hugs and my dnd stuff he'd been keeping for me <3
- flopped a bit and vaguely tried on clothes i brought with me to see if i feel comfy wearing them tomorrow. jury is still deliberating
- a german bean came over and lots of talk and some v smol shenanigans ensued. i still can't believe how tall he is.. maybe i should bring stilts next time :c
tomorrow's thoughts:
- i have homework and a school meeting in the afternoon :c
- only class i really want to see is the boot one
- i should get snacks or something from a store, idk
- poke at the hypno scouts stuff
- spread the Gospel of Worms

i have been occasionally poking a v good friend about charmed, bcause i would like to see them and also going to charmed with them would help with my anxiety and stuff. and there has been a non-zero amount of teasing/bribery around "what if we shared the bed n cuddled.. just kidding.. unless?"
they are vv unsure if they will be able to go, with good reason, so i haven't bugged them -too- much.
but. since i am pretty sure i'm going. and (if they are going) they have indicated they would like to share space. i figured i would ask if they wanted the option of having a bed to themself (ie. a room with two beds vs one bed).

charmed is four days away and i'm internally screaming
a lot of anxiety, some brain gremlins, some excitement, combined with an intense desire to not be a wallflower this time but knowing i will inevitably be socially overwhelmed/nervous/awkward af.
and also wtf do i pack with me besides rose (my bun who sleeps with me/travels with me as my comfort companion). debating if i bring a skirt and/or my two crop top-ish shirts since this -is- kinda a good opportunity/excuse to wear them.. but also screm.

it is four weeks til i fly out to charmed and ahhhhHHH the anticipation and yearning is starting
i have no doubt i'll be vvv anxious at some point
but right now all i want to do is see my friends, especially since some of them i've known for years and this'll be the first time i'll meet them in person

extremely tentative plans for a possible cuddle pile at charmed are happening. apparently. because two mutual friends of the friend i've been bribing to go are going.

also one of them is someone i used to be somewhat involved with so uhhHH we will see if i get bwullied and/or if i bwully him. possibly both >.>
