the game marks the parthia campaign as "very hard" but the only hard thing abt it is the financial situation tbh. if you can squeeze through the first like 10 turns and expand out of your first 2 towns you're set. persian cavalry makes every battle just "set to speed 3 and tell your cavalry to skirmish" and then you watch your guys run in circles in hyperspeed while the enemy units slowly collapse under a hail of arrows from like 300 feet away. keep one unit of infantry on hand to move rams for sieges and you can basically fighr every battle with just your horse archers
