imayoshi spends his birthday fishing, pondering existence. when he gets back home, his friends are there with banners and balloons. it turns out his sister's prepared a surprise birthday party for him, complete with an (admittedly wonky) cake she herself baked. and as much as imayoshi's not a party guy, as much as he only socialises in small doses, he admits to himself that it's not that bad at all, being cared for.
