#bruce wayne #silas stone #i did love that the mythology storyline tomasi did highlighted bruce's science training... very cute return to form #i feel like that gets left to the wayside a lot in modern comics because bruce has to be The Bestest Martial Artist Ever #because eventually he became a ninja instead of. like. charles atlas #so really there's no time in his backstory for a university education #and in fact in the current continuity did not even finish high school #which! don't get me wrong. i love bruce being a high school dropout. i think that's fun #but he does so much reverse engineering mad science to deal with his villains #that he NEEDS to have a background in it from his training days #anyway the second panel is from bruce's First Ever Origin so that's how old this characterization is #weird to think about how he existed as a character for several issues before bob kane figured out an origin for him
