i wanted to spend a bit of time expanding my vocabulary so here are the words i have learnt / accumulated in my reading over the pastr few weeks lmao.

ineffable ( beyond description, love this word ngl ) ambivalence ( i had heard it before but didnt know what it meant lmao. indecision, doubt. ) antiquated ( old fashioned ) subterfuge ( trickery , deceit ) punitive ( intended as punishment ) soporific ( induce drowsiness ) atavistic ( reversion to smth ancient ?? ) incendiary ( combustive ) gravitas ( seriousness of manner ) ferric ( containing iron ) wizened ( wrinkled ) diatribe - ( forceful, verbal attack ) reneging ( go back on a promise ) obsequious ( ready to help for gain in favour ) defenestration ( throw someone out of a window tf ? )( aspersions ( defamation / slander ) nomenclature ( symbols in art / science ) impunity ( exemptions / immunity )
