So, for a long time I've imagined Andreas being a traveler. I mean, he was originally born in Germany anyway, but I've been imagining him wanting to see the world, and as soon as he's old enough he does just that. Mostly, he visits different places in Europe, but he develops a fascination with Egypt at some point, and decides to stay there for a while.

The only reason he came back to Germany was to visit because his older brother (currently unnamed) was getting married. He had planned to only be there two weeks, then leave for Egypt again, but he met Katja at the wedding. It was one of those "love at first sight" kinda things, but it was probably also due to the fact that his brother and new wife were trying to get them together. Katja was the bride's childhood friend, and from what she had heard of Andreas from her new spouse, Katja and Andreas had a lot in common

Andreas and Katja started dating, and Andreas committed to staying in Germany for her. They talked about traveling together, but neither of them ever made any efforts to do so.

Eventually, they got married and had Cecilia. Katja's work transferred her to a position in the United States, and the little family moved.

I've been thinking a lot about Andreas and Katja's relationship, and I don't think it was very healthy. I've been imagining Katja being emotionally abusive to Andreas, but it was something he just... dealt with. I don't think Katja would be the same towards Cecilia and Emily, though. (At least, not until after Emily dies and the mask completely crumbles around Cecilia.) I don't think Katja's abuse would be apparent to really anyone, actually. Even their close friends and Andreas' brother wouldn't see it.

Andreas will still be in love with Katja. He gave up on the life he wanted to live for her. To him, he had to do whatever it took to keep their marriage together. For his sake, but also for his kids.

At some point, Andreas's brother will die (but I haven't decided where it happens between his background and gen2), and it's something that causes Andreas to completely lose it. I've considered it happening while Cecilia is missing, because it would ensure maximum suffering :3c

Cecilia is like, the most important thing in his life and really the main reason he keeps living. I imagine he has a lot of regrets about how he raised Cecilia, and while he wasn't perfect, Cecilia respects that he's able to admit that to her. They have a really close relationship, and this makes me so emotional (fictional dad,,,,,,,,,, ;_; )

Some random fun facts! OwO

I've changed up his music a bit. He still listens to polka when he's depressy, but I've made him a matchbox twenty fan. He also listens to german music, but I'm not sure what genres.

Andreas has a lot of journals and notebooks. He does calligraphy, and he also scrapbooks. He does write in some of the journals, but he also collects them to never use them ;w;

I've been imagining Nova and Andreas being really close. Nova gets her interest in travel from Andreas, and he is also what sparks her interest in the type of music she listens to. He is a very positive influence on Nova's life, and is someone she often goes to for advice.

He likes flowers! He has some flowers he started growing after Emily died. I'm not sure which kind yet, but people tend to associate Andreas with that specific flower once they get to know him :)

He's actually pretty decent at cooking, but he prefers not to do it. He can cook so many different things from different cultures, but of course he enjoys German and Egyptian food the most. He even makes his own sausages lol He knows Cecilia isn't a fan of German food, so he usually sticks to american dishes when he is cooking for both of them.

I've joked a lot about Andreas and Jase's relationship with each other, but here's how it really is like

I imagine Andreas is actually pretty fond of Jase, probably as much as he is of Tuesday. They still have an odd relationship, mostly because Jase likes to fuck with Andreas constantly. They care about each other, though. Eventually, Andreas will treat Jase like his son, and Jase of course will be very emotional about this. Doesn't stop him from being obnoxious, tho.

For Andreas and Isabel, I am not super sure about what you had in mind but here are some ideas I've been playing with lol

I have been imagining Andreas actually being close friends with both of Tuesday's parents. At first it's mostly just to keep in contact about their kids (like for sleepovers, school events, etc.), but he ends up really liking spending time with them outside of only ever interacting with Katja and the people at his work. They helped out a lot with Cecilia while Andreas was worrying about Emily's hospitalizations and such. I think Isabel might have leaned on Andreas a bit after Tuesday's dad (god I've been trying to remember his name for like ten minutes and I still don't know) went missing.

So, when their kids go missing, I feel like it's only natural that they reach out to each other. I'm not sure yet how this would transition into something romantic, tho ;_;
