the Inheritor originated as a powerful mage who perfected reincarnation magic so their soul could continuously be reborn into new bodies, and Au Tien is the latest iteration. she went to school with Mia and they lived together for a time, and recent shenanigans will have them interacting again

she gets floods of memories and skills when doing just about anything (eating a sandwich for the first time might remind her of an entire past life's worth of sandwiches......) which is a lot to think about. it does mean the Inheritor gets more powerful as they reincarnate, though, because they'll also gradually remember old skills and spells

she struggles a lot with her identity and wishes more than anything that she was a cool sexy powerful DRAGON (because dragons are the coolest, sexiest, and most powerful beings ever!!)
