We just thought the weather would be warm enough this week for my basil and sage to go back outside.... nope.
Brought them in, so the random cold snap we're about to get won't bother them as they both apparently prefer 50+ degree weather.
My other plants should be fine and if need be, I can bring them in overnight as well. We transplanted the tarragon and dill into pots already and the radishes are in a small kiddie pool so the radishes can't be moved. The rest are still in seedling trays so they're easy to move.
Yes, I'm doing radishes in a kiddie pool full of soil. The smallest hard plastic kiddie pool at walmart that's just around $7 and 2cu feet of soil work perfectly for root veggies that need a shallow planting. I'm also wanting to do maybe a few sugar snap or snow peas but I'm not sure if they do well in oklahoma summers. Don't want to ask the one person I know who will know cause they've got alot going on and I don't want to add to their plate. But i gridded the kiddie pool and have radishes on rotation so we can enjoy some supply. I need to plant more seeds this weekend as it says every 5-10 days for rotation so I figured every weekend I can plant and we'll get it going.
I learned alot from last year's growing season with some of my plants. And the tarragon and dill are new this year for me as I did a different type of dill last year and it just didn't go so well so I got a different kind this year. Got catnip and catgrass growing for the cats. I'm hoping more gets to growing, alot are still sprouting and trying.
Anytime I go out to the garden, I make it a habit to ask for persephone's blessing. Since she's the spring goddess and someone I work with alot. I feel my connection to her has grown over the past year ok both aspects of her. Both the spring gooddess and queen of the underworld.
As for any crafts I've done... I've been slacking. I have a quilt I have yet to finish. I have cross stitch stuff I love but just needed a break from. I haven't built anything out of paper in months.
Work has been busy as always this time of year. We're in the middle of budget season. I'm currently waiting on photos though and we're right in between draft and final. Cause it's almost the weekend, I want to relax today and tomorrow and not rush a thing. So I may just go through some capital items while listening to an audiobook.
