okay so! i love mcreyes a lot both platonically and as a ship, but i can't go into the tag Ever or post about it! i'm an extreme csa victim, i just recently started recovery, and i'm genuinely terrified of being called a pedophile? i don't ever want that? i would rather die than be lumped in with those sick fucks!!!!! i understand where people are coming from! i think its definitely okay if not necessary to shame pedo ships, but mcreyes? isn't? that? hhhhh sorry if this is weird ???

No it’s ok anon, I’m in the same boat, though at a less extreme measure. I’m also very, very against csa, and a victim myself. In fact only recently have I felt comfortable enough emotionally and physically to talk about the fact that this had happened to me, with two separate people who were supposed to be caring for me.

I do not, at all, see anything resembling pedophilia in McReyes. Only recently a fanfic popped up that was blatantly incest pedophilia and honestly what the fuck???? After all the bullshit this ship goes through someone actually posts this shit????? Are they TRYING to sink us further into hate hell?

But like? Other than that one asshole writing that one fic, there’s been nothing even vaguely pedophilic. In everything I’ve seen McCree has been of legal age, even in slightly abusive fics (which have stopped with us shippers complaining about it thank god) he’s always been of age.

I honestly feel your pain anon, it’s disgusting what antis will do just because they don’t ship something.
