Just finished watching Tomori Kusunoki’s final concert as Setsuna...

Unlike the last AZUNA concert, she was on stage the entire time and simply sat down on the scenery during the parts of some songs. I’m glad they made it accessible for her, assuming or at least hoping she wanted to do it that way. 

Tomoriru seemed to want to go out with a smile as she didn’t mention anything about her retirement during her goodbye. But then we got to Kaorin and she started crying like immediately (okay not quite immediately but she always cries) and went on a whole rant about how she still wants to hang out with the three of them in their private life, etc. 

Their final encore was Tokimeki Runners, and towards the end Kaorin starts crying again and then Agupon notices and breaks from her performance to start comforting her and they’re all hugging and then finally Tomoriru starts crying and they are all crying and I’m crying... 

Tomoriru... I’m so sorry Japan doesn’t really understand chronic illness, especially in younger people, and that you had to suffer for so long and wait until the traditional graduation time before you could retire. You’d think that voice acting would be an ideal job for someone with a physical disability but not when you’re required to be an idol too. I’m surprised they are having someone replace her instead of just retiring the character since Nijigaku doesn’t have a set number of members, but I guess Setsuna is too big of a presence. Well, I’ll definitely support her new VA, and we’ll see what happens.
