#hello I’m gonna talk in here just for a second #idk I got so sad about my body today bc idk a culmination of things I guess? #but one was my stupid skin picking scars I hate them so much I always did but sometimes I look at them and immediately think of my ex who #told me they made me less attractive to her #idk that comment plays in my head on a regular basis even after over 8 years?? #but then I was also thinking about the abuse I know she suffered which I never think about and idk it was really horrible and I felt bad #for her and I was thinking how that doesn’t mean she should have treated me how she did #but it’s okay to recognize the terrible things that happened to someone and know that they didn’t deserve it but also that they were still #bad to you and it’s not okay that they were bad to you just because they had something terrible happen to them #like you can simultaneously know that they experienced some horrendous trauma but it doesn’t make the things they did to you okay #I feel like there’s this weird cultural thing where we think someone who has experienced something terrible can do no wrong even when #they are doing wrong #and that’s not true #idk what the point is I just realized I can be hurt by someone but I don’t have to absolve them in my brain just because I know they also #went through some shit
