TBH i've actually been thinking abt it and like ✌️😔

imo whenever hunter finds out about the truth (either abt him being a grimwalker, if that's the case, or just abt belos' plans for him for the day of unity), the "how" of how he finds out is gonna be crucial.

cuz if he found out accidentally, on his own, (like if he found the book or eavesdropped or deduced it or sth) he'd probably Take It Badly and panic on the inside but, well, he'd probably still fear running away and he'd try to convince himself that even if it LOOKS bad, it might not be true or that belos means well, that he'd never lie to him abt sth like THAT, but he'd be more likely to have conflicted thoughts, and maybe he'd even get the courage to do sth abt it, with li'l rascal's influence. and HOPEFULLY, he'd decide to run away, before the day of unity actually comes, before WHATEVER bad thing belos is planning happens.

but if he talked abt it to BELOS (or even found out abt it FROM him), then the guy would probably say sth like "yes, this makes you special, hunter, you're the only one who can help me with this, the only one who can fill this important role. can i count on you?" etc. etc., manipulative bullshit like that, and then. yeah hunter would..... probably still be conflicted on The Very Hidden Inside but he'd try to ignore all that and just gladly play along and want to help belos. cuz hunter WANTS to help belos, he wants to be useful and validated, and subconsciously he also fears the repercussions of what would happen if he acted insubordinately, AND as far as he's concerned, he just doesn't have any other realistic options other than serving the emperor. and it's super hard to break free from sth like that, especially while said manipulative person is still manipulating you.

SO LIKE, YEAH, i feel like if he found out from belos, it'd be MUCH harder for him to break out of that "loyal act" of his, but if he found out on his own he'd more likely have uncertainty and doubts abt belos' plans or his own fate/loyalties (which, would be GOOD)

but. truly, whatever happens, i just hope that he DOES find out about belos' plans before the day of unity at ALL, like. OOF. PLS find out. it'd be BAD if he never found out in retrospect and just got to see what belos has planned for him first-hand, cuz c'mon it cannot be anything good so i TRULY hope it won't come to that. so just GET OUTTA THERE boy.
