last song: Human Sadness - julian casablancas + the voidz, been into the strokes for a bit and slowly branching into the band members' solo projects. this one has been bringing me lots of comfort lately.

current book stack:

Deep Secrets: Boys’ Friendships and the Crisis of Connection by Niobe Way

I found out abt this one through interviews with Lukas Dhonte (who directed Close (2022) one of my favorite movies I've watched all year!). He mentions this book a lot as his main inspiration in constructing the character dynamics in the film. its heavy academic texts but I'm quite liking it!

I Would Prefer Not To: Essential Stories by Herman Melville

its a pretty edition of melville. need i say more? I do need to also write an essay on benito cereno lol

last movie: life of pi (2012)... ang lee rly rly tried to make me like this shite story but its not happening unforch!

last show: Just binged the latest season of black mirror! it was mostly good fun, but honestly in generally felt pretty toothless? only one of the episodes out of the 5 really struck me, the way that the best BM eps do.

current obsession: berserk!!! i binged the manga in the span of a single day a few weeks ago n boy did my brain need that mental break. slowly working thru the 1997 series n really enjoying it too:>
