Sharing a new painting released for the limited edition illustrated novel of the Stone of Farewell by author Tad Williams from Grim Oak Press. Creating interior artwork is always a pleasure given the openness of the design (no logos or type) and the freedom given by Tad and Shawn Speakman (publisher) in selecting which scenes to interpret for the six images plus cover.

Rather than trying to meld the artworks into a tight visual series, I think of ways to showcase the scores of diverse people, places, and moments which populate Tad's novels. These need an illustration per chapter (20+) to properly do justice to the themes!
