whoever decided that we should use in-line citations rather than footnotes for pretty much all journal publications in my field, I am firing lasers at you in my mind

#yes yes in-line citation is helpful in certain fields. NOT MINE THO #hate the way they look. hate that I can't hide my extra little notes in them. #hate trying to figure out how to cite all my weird as frick documents when they want me to use author-date #and some of my documents don't have an author OR a date #it has taken me 2 hours to convert the footnotes on 7 pages.
