#something that sucks for me is that I really lack the vocabulary to describe why the in theater experience of watching the Elvis movie is #so different and also vastly better than watching it out of theaters #like I try to explain and all I can say is ‘the sound is so good in the theater’ #‘like the sound is so immersive and so good and you don’t get that at home’ #‘like it’s so loud and good’ #it’s a little more specific in that specific moments get lost because the streamable versions don’t have the same sound mixing #so these really big moments in the movie are just lost if you don’t know to look for them #but more than that the score is lost #the score really does make a difference and you don’t hear it as well at home #and the almost real shock/jolt you get when the camera jolts and starts the trouble scene is lost too #I guess what I’m looking for is a better way to describe how good the score is and how pleasurable the in theater experience is made because #of it #I just don’t know enough words about sound I guess #also if you don’t like the Elvis movie that’s fine we’re good #but I think it’s a full body experience that anyone could enjoy if given the opportunity to watch it in theaters with an open mind #and it’s a bummer that it’s not going to be in theaters anymore because that’s the only way to watch it really #anywho
