my toxic trait is that I'll ignore a rlly good fic for like weeks and then when I finally read it and get into it it's exactly when the author chooses to take break from writing or just stop writing the fic altogether

#not that there's anything wrong with quitting a fic or taking a break if you need to #it's just that I have impeccable timing and I've got to be sabotaging myself in one way or another bc wtf #how do I always manage to do it exactly #I was checking out a ship I like on ao3 in like early nov/mid oct? and the fic had recently updated so I chose to check it out #my guy has not updated since then . . . #I've tried looking at the updating patterns (bc I always do that whenever I read at long unfinished fics) and by the pattern #it should have updated again by now but w my luck it won't get touched again until like february #no hate to the author at all idk what their personal life is like I'm just so lame and have bad timing :(((
