In the past year or so I've started religiously writing down every single idea or plot point or scene or concept I have whenever I think it for my various groups of OCs in a notebook in hopes that it'll help me sort out my thoughts enough to actually do something with my OCs and so far I think it's helping but also I was diagnosed with can't write as a child so sometimes trying to reread whatever I scrawled at 3 am when I was thinking really hard about my OCs can be.. a challenge. I just spent 10 minutes trying to decipher why the holy hell I put a winky face next to the word monster in this sentence

I realize now it's supposed to be the word "is".........................

#probably doesnt help that i write with a fountain pen exclusively in notebooks #its because the really dark black ink is good contrast against most notebooks offwhite paper #and the minimal resistance from the nib makes writing as fast as i think easier #but also. its just an incomprehensible line #maybe its a good thing i was never able to learn cursive (see the cant write diagnosis) i cant imagine how incomprehensible itd be then #also there is a lot of smudging but i use some very fast drying ink i think its noodlers bernanke #so that helps minimize it~
